Chiffon Cake

A chiffon cake is a light and fluffy cake that is made with oil, or other melted fats, instead of solid fat.

Chiffon cake is a type of foam cake, which has a high ratio of eggs to flour and is leavened mainly from the air beaten into the egg whites.

It's similar to an angel food cake, but instead of using just egg whites, chiffon cake recipes use the whole egg.

They are different in that Chiffon Cakes contain both egg yolks and egg whites,

along with baking powder, orange juice, and a liquid fat (in the form of oil).

A chiffon cake is a very light cake made with vegetable oil, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and flavorings.

Being made with vegetable oil, instead of a traditional solid fat such as butter or shortening,

it is easier to beat air into the batter.
