The lehenga, lehenga or ghagra is a form of
ankle-length skirt worn by women in the Indian Subcontinent.
A lehenga is a long skirt that falls around the ankles.
The skirt is often pleated and embroidered for ceremonial
or formal occasions such as a wedding.
The lehenga hangs from the waist leaving the
lower back and midriff barel. It is therefore normally paired with
a blouse(also known as choli) and a drape(duppatta).
Different patterns and styles of traditional embroidery
are used to decorate the lehenga.
Gotta Patti embroidery in lehengas is mostly preferred
to be weared in festivals and wedding functions.
